Privacy Policy

Rohometric (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the web application at v1.rohometric.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Data we collect

Account information

When you create an account we store your name, email address, and a hashed password (or the OAuth provider token if you sign in with Google). We do not store your password in plain text.

Business data you upload

When you upload a CSV or Excel file we parse it server-side, extract the columns you map, and store the resulting transactions in your database partition. The original file is not retained after processing.

Usage and analytics

We collect basic usage data — page views, feature interactions, and error reports — through Vercel Analytics. This data is aggregated and is not sold to third parties.

2. How we use your data

• To compute KPIs, generate dashboards, and produce AI-powered summaries for your business.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To send transactional emails (password resets, account confirmations). We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.
• To improve the product — we analyse aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

3. AI processing

When you request an AI summary or use the “Ask Your Data” feature, a subset of your KPI data is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API. This data is used only to generate your response and is not used to train models. See Anthropic’s privacy policy for their data handling practices.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, each of which processes data solely on our behalf:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
• Vercel — application hosting and edge functions.
• Anthropic — AI summary generation (KPI data only, no raw files).

5. Data retention

Your business data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we remove all associated business profiles, uploaded data, KPI snapshots, reports, and alert configurations within 30 days. Backups containing your data are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your rights

You can export your data at any time via the PDF report download feature. To request a full data export or deletion, email privacy@rohometric.com.

8. Children’s privacy

Rohometric is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
